Kathmandu

General Information - The Kathmandu Valley consists of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, which are the most well known cities in this region. There are a number of other, smaller fascinating villages, temples and stupas, which are scattered around the valley. The Buddhist temple of Swayambhunath or colloquially known as the "monkey temple", fondly named after the large tribe of garrulous monkeys who guard the hill and amuse visitors and devotees with their tricks. At the base there is a continuous series of prayer wheels where pilgrims circumambulating the stupa and spin it as they pass. This temple is probably the best-known temple in Nepal.

Pokhara

General Information -  Pokhara is renowned for its setting rather than its historical and cultural endowments. Its close proximity to the mountains and lakeside, means that it is an ideal place for recovering from a trek or even taking leisurely strolls. It is the perfect location to put your nose in a good book and simply enjoy the surroundings and relax.

Routing: Kathmandu - Pokhara - Kathmandu
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the local markets and quaint alleyways.

Day 2: Kathmandu
This morning, you will visit the Pashupatinath and Boudhnath Temples. Pashupatinath, the most sacred of all Hindu temples in Nepal is situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Boudhnath is possibly the world's largest Buddhist stupa and a site of great veneration for Buddhists. This afternoon, you will tour Kathmandu City, visiting the Kasthamandap, Darbar Square & the Temple of Kumari, the residence of the living Goddess. You also visit Swayambunath which is said to be over 2,000 years old, and one of the world's most fabulous Buddhist stupa which offers panoramic views of Kathmandu city.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Pokhara
Transfer to airport for your flight to Pokhara. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Pokhra is situated in the Valley of the Seti River and commands one of the most spectacular views of the mountains in Nepal. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this picturesque Himalayan town OR take an optional short trek or try your hand at mountain biking.

Day 4: Pokhara
This morning, you will tour Pokhara, one of the most scenic valleys in Nepal. View Mts. Annapurna (8091 m), Fishtail (6994 m), Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Himalchuli (7893 m). Enjoy a boat ride on the Phewa Lake. Rest of the day is at leisure for shopping and own activities.

Day 5: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Transfer to airport for your flight to Kathmandu. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6: Depart Kathmandu
Transfer to airport for your onward flight back home
